I BOUGHT A REFERENCE AX2R GTX SHOES THE LAST YEAR, THAT ARE AWESOME. I THOUGHT I HAVE TO BUY OTHER ONE BUT WATERPROOF. THE LAST APRIL I TRAVELED TO ORLANDO I BOUGHT BY INTERNET THIS REFERENCE TERREX SWIFT R2 GTX SHOES. I THINK WAS THE WORST DECISION BECAUSE THE FIRST TIME I USED I HAD A STRONG PAINFUL IN MY HEELS, AFTER I FELT PAINFUL IN ALL MY FEET. THREE HOURS AFTER, I HAD GOT A HEADACHE BY MY FEET PAINFUL. THEN I BOUGHT A GEL INSOLES BUT THE PAINFUL CONTINUES. I HAVE TRIED USED THREE TIME MORE BUT I COULDNT BEAT IT HURT. I HAD TO TAKE OFF THA SHOES AND WALK WITH OUT SHOES. THAT WAS MY WORST EXPERIENCE WITH ADIDAS BECAUSE I HAD BUY SHOES FROM ADIDAS FOR MANY YEARS AGO (RUNNING, TERREX, CLASIC, SOCCER...) I NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE UNTIL NOW. great quality and comfortable however not for more than an hour or two a day and it start to get my feet numb because it is a bit tight at the front. It look great and wear it every morning for my daily exercise but I have to leave it once done. ... ler mais

PLUSES: a) great-looking shoe, no question b) well built & durable c) rugged sole gives good grip d) keeps feet warm in winter, goretex helps with light rain e) light weight yet offering good protection MINUSES: 1) Not a shoe to wear for long in hot summers 2) Not the cushioning you may expect from a running shoe, i.e. walking for long on tarmac may give you a bit of a sore heel or pain on your knees if you have a joint issue (as I do) Overall, decent VFM ... ler mais

I’d been looking for some lightweight boots for a while. I was climbing snowdon on the Saturday and this arrived on the Friday. Straight out the box they were comfortable and very sturdy on the bottoms. They stood up to the snowdon paths very well. I sized up by .5 as a few reviews said. This meant my toes weren’t hitting the end of the boots when decending. My only problem was after 2 hours of decending my Achilles were starting to hurt as the boot around them was a bit tough. I’m sure after some more wear and tear this will soften so I don’t see it as much of a problem. ... ler mais

Looking for a robust and weather proof winter 'trainer' for trail walking and general day to day 'stuff' and couldnt have found a better pair of shoes. Im a size 44 (9½) and half a size up (10) makes for perfect fit. The shoes are very well constructed, have a great structure which makes your feet feel fully supported and protected from knocks. The lacing system is sooo easy, very effective and can be adjusted to suit in seconds. I havent had time to test the waterproofing but being Gortex Im not expecting any issues. The fabric is easy to brush clean. I think the shoes look pretty sharp too Overall really couldnt be happier - my last pair of Terrex Trainers lasted 10 years + and the upper and soles are still in great shape considering they were used as my only trainers (although the inners are a little worn now as you might expect) Just purchased a pair of similar Terrax boots for my son too for upcoming school trip - just hope his feet dont grow too fast ... ler mais

I have not yet had the opportunity to put these to the test off of the pavement, but they seem very comfortable right out of the box. Walked several miles around town without any rubbing or blisters the first day. They don't breathe especially well, but that's the tradeoff for waterproofing. ... ler mais

These are hardly trail shoes that are highly waterproof and have good grip. On the downside, their very toughness makes them quite rigid and I found them hard on the knees after a few miles. I fitted softer insoles and hope they will make for a more comfortable hike. ... ler mais

These not only fit perfect, they are comfortable. I have already been in wet weather with them and am very happy that my feet were dry. The soles even wet once I was on slick surface I didn't slip at all. ... ler mais

I had another brand of shoe that had lasted me nearly 3 years but I didn't like the new edition. Tried these in the shop and read the reviews and bought them. Comfort, stability, weight all perfect for me. Sadly after only 5 months, bought in Febuary, they started to split in the soles. Another month and pieces of the sole where hanging off and what wasn't, was slick with no grip. Such a shame and hugely disappointing for a £140 pair of shoes that I expected a number of year, not months out of and I'm only doing 20-25 miles a week. ... ler mais

After 4 months of wear the sole is heavily worn which I’ve never had before with any pair of decent trainers. They have good grip and this might be the reason for the soft sole which melts like butter ... ler mais

I broke in these shoes on a relatively easier hike in Minnewaska State Park Preserve... specifically on the carriage roads. This shoe has many great things going for it. Gore-tex lining is a must-have when hiking. The robust Continental sole grips well. And the upper is lightweight and breathable enough. The Ortholite sock liner was supportive, too. What I don't like is the speed lacing system. Some folks complained about having to re-tighten them too often. I'm going to go ahead and state that you cannot get them as tight as you would with normal laces. Why this lacing system is even a thing is beyond me. Progress for the sake of progress? When normal laces work better, don't mess with them. As a result, my feet were loose in the shoe, and I ended my day with painful blisters, despite having appropriate socks on feet. I don't know if I can return them, or perhaps cut out the bungee laces and replace them with standard laces. My opinion is to stay away from any shoe with this lacing system! Otherwise, Adidas makes a fine product for the outdoors. ... ler mais

This product looks good, feels comfortable and grips well in wet conditions, the only negative for me which I don't usually get with most products was that it took some skin on the back of my heel but I think that will soon soften up after wearing them in a bit. ... ler mais

Awesome boots, this is the 3rd pair I’ve owned over the years. Spent many years as an Army PTI and found the boots just like trainers but with ankle support. Bought this pair on Tuesday and wore them on Sunday for a 10 mile TAB/Ruck/Yomp blister free. Highly recommended! ... ler mais

Two short runs recently felt less effort: I had not run for 4 months and the change in footware was positive, my old shoes designed for walking on the pavement can roll. The shoes are feel secure and light - I do not know how they will fair in winter and how many miles they will last. I was not happy with the metal eyelets : they have a ridge on the inside and potentially will fray laces or rub on the tongue - I have already installed a tightly fitted guard on each lace to cover the eyelet ridges. ... ler mais

Well made, they are very stiff they take some breaking in. They are very light weight but the gortex doesnt breath very well i ware them at work a lot of walking as a building engineer my feet are always very sweaty when i take my shoes off at the end of the day ... ler mais

I have had the shoes for about 2-3 weeks and they hurt my feet incredibly bad. Doing a decent but not insane amount of walking, but for a hiking shoe one would expect support and comfort for extended periods of walking. The bottoms of my feet hurt very bad, even with putting gel insoles in them to try and add padding. There is no support or cushion on the bottom. In addition, the top of the shoes hurt bad as well, as tying them at all tight causes pain on the tops of my feet. Wish I could return them, as although I really like the way they look they just kill my feet! ... ler mais

I did like the product but unfortunately they were too small. I am a size 8uk and the size 8uk were too tight. Make sure to order a half size up when purchasing. I wanted these for work but found they are made for hiking and therefore wearing them 45hours a week indoors they would not meet my comfort requirements. Should I take up hiking/hill walking I would definately purchase the Swift R2 GTX shoes. ... ler mais

Super comfortable shoes, excellent support. Just the right weight, solid tread but outer shell not as durable as I hoped given I love the fit of these shoes and want them to last forever. May be just need a little extra material on the tongue. ... ler mais

I bought these cause they looked good, and maybe also for the Continental collab on the soles. That turns out to be one of the best features. The hiking around here tends towards sandy soil so a slip resistant sole is key. They do the trick. Plus they still look good with the orange details! ... ler mais

They look great I ordered size 9uk but according to my toes they feel like a size 8 or 8.5 my toes are squashed. I'm returning them it means paying twice as much because I'm ordering a larger size before I get a refund. I think they will be 5 stars once I get the larger size. ... ler mais

Decided to buy some proper hiking shoes for climbing mount Triglav in Slovenia. Went with this Terrex model. I've never owned hiking boots before, as I thought of them as uncomfortable and unnecessarily heavy. This shoe proved me wrong! It's a lightweight shoe that provides incredible grip, which makes hiking over rocks a lot easier by being able to rely on each step you take, without having to "confirm" your step. Make sure you buy the right size though, my left foot is a bit smaller than my right, which caused me a blister after 3 days (never wore them before, though). ... ler mais

I love the design of this product, really slick and the ankle part is really stylish (sort of sock-style design). Massive plus points for the ocean plastics use. The only downside is that the sole of the shoe is very rubbery and has a super strong grip - perfect for what it is intended for (it is after all a boat shoe, as it says!) but I bought it for the slick design and then realised it couldn't be used as an everyday exercise shoe for this reason... so that's my fault, I guess. If you are looking for great grip and a strong design, heck yes. If you are looking for an everyday wear/everyday exercise shoe... don't be an idiot like me and actually buy some trainers. ... ler mais
