I didn’t expect to have strong feelings about a running hat… but the Terrex Climacool hat from Adidas Terrex has genuinely won me over. First thing you notice is how light it feels. It’s one of those bits of kit you forget you’re wearing within a mile or two—which, for runners, is pretty much the gold standard. The Climacool ventilation does exactly what it promises: even on warmer runs, it keeps air moving and stops that horrible sweaty, overheated head feeling you get with heavier caps. Fit-wise, it’s spot on. Snug without being tight, and it doesn’t bounce around, even when you pick up the pace. The brim is nicely balanced too—enough protection from sun or drizzle without feeling bulky or getting in your line of sight. What really stands out is how well it manages moisture. Sweat gets wicked away quickly, so you’re not dealing with a dripping peak or that soggy fabric feeling halfway through a long run. It dries fast as well, which is ideal if you’re using it regularly. It’s also versatile—works just as well for a steady long run, a parkrun effort, or even just walking about on a warm day. If I had to nitpick, it’s not the cheapest hat out there—but it feels like a proper bit of performance gear rather than just an accessory. Bottom line: lightweight, breathable, comfortable, and properly thought-through for runners. One of those small upgrades that makes your runs just that bit more enjoyable.

Doesn’t keep the head cool or wick the sweat away. After every run the cap is soaked, no different than my waterproof winter cap. Doesn’t breathe at all.

Great lightweight cap which fits well and looks great! So good I bought another in the other colour! Highly recommended.
